Chat, for a Practical and Functional Bathroom

“Chat” is a new bathroom furniture idea from Grup Gamma from Tattom series. This interesting cabinet with a sink is small, practical, functional and perfect for a bathroom in which we face problems of space. “Chat” measures 60 x 35 cm and includes a white lacquered cabinet with two doors and the counter top of resin. Unusual Split-Level House in Philadelphia

I’m sure you’ve all seen at least one negative example of a modern construction built in a historic neighborhood. Not all really manage to fit in, do they? Today we would like to show you a different approach, a project which we consider to be perfectly integrated in its environment. Situated in Philadelphia, the Split-Level House comes from Qb, an architecture studio which also deals with design. The main materials used in order to complete the construction and to give it an inviting look were polished concrete, wood and steel. The contrast between them give the building its unique exterior style.Three-story high, the place also has a roof garden for private gatherings.

Horizontal Space Dream House in Cuneo, Italy

When it comes to creating a new look and fresh design, design idea talented from Bayden Goddard (BGD Architects) seem to get the best of it and this experimental two story riverfront architecture stands as living proof. Constructed by adopting an open style theme, this elevated construction has enough natural light to filter throughout. To connect its internal and external space, a timber sliding and pivot doors with maximum openings are placed convoying a void to bring some natural luminosity into the veranda area. Using recycled timber colonnade, this house has a truly luxurious interior which is pretty much anticipated from its custom made contemporary furniture and state-of-the-art lighting that totally charms you.

Caliper Studio’s Genetic Stair

The architects and metal sculpture designers are Caliper Studios have outdone themselves with their product, Genetic Stair. The centerpiece in a duplex apartment on Manhattan, the Genetic Stair is an amazing fusion of engineering and sculpture; in particular an amazing feat considering the ridiculously complex and limiting building safety codes for construction in New York City. Developed first as a multifarious 3D model, this clean and well-suited stairway design brings a heavy touch of modernity to a simple, elegant interior space. It maybe hard to develop a sense of continuity with something so inventive in your living space, but as a useful sculptural piece it serves as an amazing achievement for Caliper Studios.– via

Casa Gutierrez in El Salvador by P&P Architects

Specially designed for a recently married young couple in El Salvador, Casa Gutierrez has the exquisite feel of a contemporary home with traditional spaces. Designed by P&P Architects, there’s a Salvadoran kitchen, a large living room with floor to ceiling glass windows and a small terrace in the front that gives the feeling of living outdoors.
